Ca’ Foscari University of Venice has officially opened applications for its 41st cycle of PhD programs for the 2025/2026 academic year. This is an excellent opportunity for aspiring researchers worldwide to study at one of Italy’s most prestigious universities, located in Venice, a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

Annual grant of €16,243 (before tax), with a 50% increase for research periods abroad

Who Can Apply?
Open to applicants of all nationalities. International students are encouraged to apply. Non-EU candidates will receive full support for visa applications and residence permits.
Eligibility Criteria
A Master’s degree or equivalent (to be completed by November 15, 2025)
English proficiency at B2 level (can be met by December 31, 2025)
