Benefits of Common Wealth Fellowship 2023:

  • Approved return airfare from fellow’s home country to UK will be provided
  • Standard visa application fee will be reimbursed
  • Monthly stipend of £1,782 will be given to fellows
  • Fellows assigned to institutions in London Metropolitan area will receive £2,197 monthly stipend
  • Arrival allowance of up to £972.59 will be given, including an element for warm clothing
  • CSC will assess fellows who declare disabilities for eligibility for additional financial support.

Eligibility Criteria:

  • Must be a citizen of an eligible Commonwealth country or have been granted refugee status by such a country or be protected by the British government
  • Must possess permanent residency in one of the Commonwealth countries
  • Must have a minimum of five years of relevant work experience by the proposed start date of the fellowship
  • Must be employed at the time of application in an organization to which they will return upon completion of the fellowship
  • For Professional Fellowships, a minimum of two references are required and the CSC will contact prospective fellows directly if references are needed. A host organization may also request a reference when considering an application.
  • Must not have undertaken a Commonwealth Professional Fellowship within the last five years
  • Must be available for the start and completion of the fellowship in accordance with the prescribed timeline.

How to Apply:

  • Must be a citizen of an eligible Commonwealth country or have been granted refugee status by such a country or be protected by the British government
  • Must possess permanent residency in one of the Commonwealth countries
