The BI Presidential Scholarship for the 2024-2025 academic year is a fully-funded opportunity aimed at international students pursuing a master’s degree. This scholarship not only covers the entire tuition fees but also provides a living expenses stipend for each semester.
BI Norwegian Business School proudly stands as the largest business school in Norway and the second-largest in all of Europe. Spread across four campuses, its main hub is located in Oslo. The university boasts a dedicated team of 845 individuals, comprising 404 academic staff members and 441 administrative professionals.
The BI Presidential Scholarship is specifically awarded to students with a remarkable academic track record. It’s open to both Norwegian and international applicants and is available for all Master of Science programs.

The Fully Funded BI Presidential Scholarships for the academic year 2024-2025 in Norway are open for students interested in pursuing Master’s level programs at BI Norwegian Business School.

Scholarship Benefits:
Recipients of the scholarship from Norway, including both Norwegian residents and Sivøk applicants, are eligible for coverage of full tuition fees for each semester, extending up to two years, upon meeting the academic progression criteria.
For international applicants, the scholarship encompasses full tuition fee coverage and provides a stipend for each semester, for a duration of up to two years, subject to meeting the academic progression requirements. The stipend is designed to assist with living expenses, covering approximately 70% of the total expenses.
Eligible Nationalities:
This scholarship is available to both international and domestic students, welcoming applications from a diverse range of nationalities.
Eligibility Criteria:
To be eligible for this scholarship, candidates must meet specific criteria:
- Demonstrate a minimum overall GPA of ‘A’ on the ECTS scale or an equivalent top-level grade on international grade scales.
- Students in their 3rd year of the Sivøk programme are eligible to apply.
- Candidates should hold Norwegian citizenship or international citizenship from the EU/EEA/Switzerland.
- International applicants must have ties to Norway and meet the eligibility requirements for Lånekassen.
- Candidates need to be admitted to a Master of Science degree programme at campus Oslo or campus Bergen, with the exception of the BI-Luiss Joint Masters in Marketing.
Note: International applicants holding citizenship from outside the EU/EEA/Switzerland are not eligible for this scholarship.
To apply for the scholarship, follow these steps:
- Submit your scholarship application concurrently with your admission application.
- Craft a one-page scholarship application letter highlighting why you are a suitable candidate for this scholarship. It’s crucial to note that scholarships are awarded based on academic merit, not financial need.
- Upload the letter in the ‘Scholarship’ section of your online admission application.
- Ensure all necessary documentation for evaluation for admission to a Master of Science program is included. The scholarship application will only be considered if a complete admission application has been submitted and the admission offer is accepted.
- For BI students currently in their 3rd year of the Siviløkonom programme, apply in the spring of their 3rd year by sending a scholarship application letter to [email protected] with the subject line: BI Presidential Scholarship Application.
- International applicants applying for the BI Presidential Scholarship will automatically be considered for the MSc International Scholarship. No separate scholarship application letter is required.
