Eligibility Criteria:
To qualify for consideration for a Chevening Clore Leadership Fellowship, applicants must fulfill the following criteria:
- Intention to Return: Applicants must have the intention to return to their home country upon completion of the fellowship period.
- Educational Background: Hold a degree equivalent to at least a good UK second-class honours degree, or possess equivalent professional training and/or experience.
- Work Experience: Have accumulated a minimum of five years of work or equivalent experience by the end of 2023.
- Minimum Requirements: Meet the minimum requirements specified by the main fellowships scheme.
- English Proficiency: Possess a good working knowledge of English, which will be evaluated through the application form and potentially during the interview process.
- Citizenship Status: Applicants must not hold British citizenship or dual British citizenship.
Employment Restrictions: Candidates cannot be current or former employees, or relatives of employees of His Majesty’s Government (HMG) or associated entities, sponsoring UK universities, the British Council, or staff members of the Association of Commonwealth Universities. Immediate relatives include parents or step-parents, siblings or step-siblings, children or step-children, spouse, civil partner, or unmarried partners who have been in a relationship akin to marriage or civil partnership for at least two years.
Previous Financial Benefit: Individuals who have previously received financial benefits from an HMG-funded scholarship or fellowship are eligible to apply after a five-year period following the completion of their first HMG-funded award. In such cases, applicants must demonstrate career progression from that point onwards.
