In partnership with the British Council and the GREAT Britain Campaign, Aston University is offering £10,000 towards tuition fees for one-year postgraduate taught courses for students from Bangladesh, Egypt, India, and Pakistan.

Countries Eligible for the GREAT Scholarship:

• Bangladesh – September 2025 courses
• Egypt – September 2025 courses
• India – September 2025 courses
• Pakistan – September 2025 courses

Note: Excluded courses include the MBA and Postgraduate Diploma for Overseas Pharmacists (OSPAP).

This scholarship aims to provide financial support to talented postgraduate students, making world-class UK higher education more accessible. Launched by the British Council, the GREAT Scholarships 2025 program is a collaboration with 71 UK universities, offering a minimum of £10,000 to students from selected countries pursuing one-year postgraduate studies in the UK.

Eligibility Criteria

General Requirements for All Applicants

• Course: One-year postgraduate taught course (excluding MBA and OSPAP).
• Nationality: Must be a citizen and resident of Bangladesh, Egypt, India, or Pakistan.
• Academic Qualification: Equivalent of a UK 2:1 degree (except for Egypt).

How to Apply

To be considered for the GREAT Scholarship, you must apply and receive an offer for a postgraduate program at Aston University starting in September 2025. Here’s how to apply based on your country:

Bangladesh Applicants:

1. Apply for an eligible postgraduate course at Aston University.
2. After receiving your offer, complete the Aston University Bangladesh GREAT Scholarship Application Form.
3. Answer the following question (maximum 500 words):
   “Tell us about a social or work initiative that you took part in and how it impacted society and shaped who you are today.”
4. Submit a one-minute video answering:
   “How does the course you applied for at Aston University align with the initiative in your essay and your future career goals?”
5. Upload your video to YouTube (or a similar platform) and share the link in your application.

Application Deadline: 30th April 2025, 11:30 PM (Bangladesh Time)
Award Deadline: 15th May 2025

Egypt Applicants:

1. Apply for a postgraduate course at Aston University.
2. Upon receiving your offer, complete the Aston University Egypt GREAT Scholarship Application Form.
3. Create a two-minute video answering:
   “Why did you choose Aston University, and how will this Master’s course enhance your career?”
4. Upload your video to YouTube (or a similar platform) and share the link in your application.

Application Opens: 1st January 2025
Application Closes: 31st May 2025

3. Answer the following question (maximum 500 words):

2. After receiving your offer, complete the Aston University Pakistan GREAT Scholarship Application Form.
3. Create a two-minute video answering:
   “Why did you choose Aston University, and how will this Master’s course enhance your career?”
4. Upload your video to YouTube (or a similar platform) and share the link in your application.

Important Notes

Can I Apply for More Than One Scholarship?

You can only receive one scholarship, but you are welcome to apply for multiple scholarships. If you are awarded more than one, the highest value scholarship will be granted, and the amount will be credited to your student account as a tuition fee reduction.
