GREAT – Imperial College London Scholarship 2025
Imperial College London, together with the British Council and the UK Government, is offering 9 special scholarships for students from France, Greece, Italy, Pakistan, and Spain. These scholarships are for students who want to study Science, Technology, Engineering, Medicine, or Business in a postgraduate course (a course you take after finishing college).
The scholarship helps pay for a one-year study at Imperial College London.
If you have a valid passport and live in one of these five countries, you will be invited to apply for the scholarship if you get an offer to study at Imperial College by 28 March 2025.

- Scholarship Value: £15,000 (towards tuition fees only)
- Number of Awards: Nine scholarships
- Two each for applicants from France, Greece, Italy, and Spain
- One for an applicant from Pakistan
- Study Level: One-year full-time Master’s programs (on-campus only)
- Eligible Subjects:
- France, Greece, Italy, and Spain: All faculties (Engineering, Medicine, Natural Sciences), Business School, and Science Communication Unit.
- Pakistan: All faculties (Engineering, Medicine, Natural Sciences), Science Communication Unit (Business School excluded).
- Application Deadline:
- Imperial Master’s Application: 16 January 2025* (*9 January 2025 for Business School programs)
- Scholarship Application Deadline: 28 March 2025
Eligibility Criteria
To qualify for this scholarship, you must:
- Nationality and Residency: Hold a valid passport and reside in one of the eligible countries: France, Greece, Italy, Pakistan, or Spain.
- Fee Classification: Be classified as “Overseas” for tuition purposes.
- Academic Program: Apply for a one-year full-time on-campus Master’s course in the eligible faculties or departments.
- Offer of Admission: Receive an offer to study at Imperial by 28 March 2025.
- English Language Requirements: Meet the College’s English language proficiency standards by 30 June 2025.

Ineligible Applicants:
- Dual British citizens.
- Students applying for online or distance learning programs.
- Applicants for courses exceeding one year in duration.
Application Process
Step 1:
- Submit Master’s Application: Apply through the standard Imperial College London procedure by the relevant deadline:
- 16 January 2025 (9 January 2025 for Business School programs).
- Ensure that in your application, you select your eligible nationality and residency details under the “Nationality” and “Residency” sections in My Imperial.
Step 2:
- Scholarship Application:
- Eligible candidates will be contacted by email during the week commencing 14 April 2025.
- Complete the GREAT Scholarship application form provided.
Outcome and Expectations
- Successful applicants will be notified by 30 June 2025.
- Scholars are expected to:
- Meet informally with donors.
- Submit an annual progress report to be shared with donors.
