The Brookes Cultural Heritage Scholarship:
Deakin University is offering PhD scholarship to initiate and conduct research on the topic ‘The Brookes Cultural Heritage Scholarship’. This project is inspired by the life and work of Professor Fred Jevons AO. Jevons escaped Austria in 1939 on a Kinder-transport, settling in the UK and becoming an innovative educator and researcher before migrating to Australia in 1976, and becoming Deakin University’s innovative first Vice Chancellor.

Eligibility Criteria:
To be eligible you must:
- be either a domestic or international candidate currently residing in Australia (domestic includes candidates with Australian Citizenship, Australian Permanent Residency or New Zealand Citizenship).
- meet Deakin’s PhD entry requirements
- be enrolling full time and hold an honors degree (first class) or an equivalent standard master’s degree with a substantial research component.
