Scholarship Description:
Applications for the 2022 FirstRand Oxford African Studies scholarship to the University of Oxford opens on 16 December 2021 and will close Thursday 3 March 2022. Interested and eligible African students are invited to apply for a fully funded study opportunity at the University of Oxford.
FirstRand has entered into a partnership with the African Studies Centre to allow an outstanding South African student to undertake postgraduate study at one of the world’s foremost universities, University of Oxford.

Full Funding. The scholarship will provide full funding for one student each year to study a masters degree at the African Studies Centre at the University of Oxford. The successful candidate will stay at Wadham College. The partnership is for another year.

- Candidates have to apply and be accepted for an MSc in African Studies at the University of Oxford.
- FirstRand and the African Studies Centre are looking for the best applicants who will truly benefit from the opportunity and contribute to South Africa on their return.
