About The Job

The Student Researcher Program at Google aims to foster academic collaborations with students through research. This paid program provides students the opportunity to work directly with Google’s research scientists and engineers on research projects.

Unlike the traditional internship program, the Student Researcher Program allows for more flexibility in terms of duration, time commitment, and working location, including options for remote work. The topics that student researchers work on tend to be open-ended and exploratory, rather than having a clear deliverable.

Google Research is focused on building the next generation of intelligent systems for all Google products. To achieve this, they collaborate closely with other teams across Google, maintaining the flexibility required to adapt to new projects and meet the fast-paced business needs of the world.

The salary range for this full-time position is between $90,000-$116,000 per year, which varies based on role, level, and location. The displayed range on the job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position across all US locations. Compensation is determined by work location, job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Additional details about the salary range for a preferred location can be discussed with the recruiter during the hiring process. Please note that the compensation details listed in US role postings reflect the base salary only and do not include bonuses, equity, or benefits.
