American Board for Certification USA Scholarships 2024
The American Board for Certification (ABC) is committed to supporting students and residents in the field of Orthotics and Prosthetics (O&P) by offering two key scholarships for 2024. These scholarships are designed to provide financial assistance and promote diversity within the profession.
ABC Orthotist & Prosthetist Scholarship:
Awarding $10,000 to students enrolled in CAAHEP-accredited master’s programs. This scholarship recognizes those who demonstrate both financial need and academic excellence.
ABC Scholarship for O&P Diversity:
Also valued at $10,000, this scholarship is specifically aimed at promoting diversity by supporting students from underrepresented racial or ethnic backgrounds.

Scholarship Benefits:

Eligibility Criteria:
1. ABC Orthotist & Prosthetist Scholarship ($10,000)
To qualify for this scholarship, applicants must meet the following requirements:
Enrollment:
Must be enrolled full-time in a CAAHEP-accredited orthotist/prosthetist master’s degree program.
Academic Progress:
Must have completed at least two semesters or three quarters of the program with a minimum GPA of 3.5.
Award Limit:
Only one scholarship award is available per individual.
Financial Need:
Applicants must demonstrate financial need.
Citizenship:
Open to U.S. citizens or legal permanent residents.
2. ABC Scholarship for O&P Diversity ($10,000)
To be eligible for the O&P Diversity scholarship, candidates must fulfill the following criteria:
Enrollment:
Must be enrolled full-time and maintain good academic standing in a CAAHEP-accredited orthotist/prosthetist master’s degree program.
Academic Progress:
Must have completed at least two semesters or three quarters of the program.
Underrepresented Status:
Candidates must belong to a racial or ethnic group underrepresented in the O&P field, including Asian American, Black or African American, Hispanic or Latino, Native American or Alaskan Native, Native Hawaiian, or Pacific Islander.
Award Limit: Only one scholarship per individual is allowed.
Financial Need: Applicants must demonstrate financial need.
Citizenship: Must be a U.S. citizen or legal permanent resident.
Note:
Applicants are allowed to apply for both scholarships, but can only receive one award per year.
