The Asia Foundation is now accepting applications for the 2025 William P. Fuller Fellowship in Peacebuilding. This prestigious international fellowship is designed to empower early to mid-career professionals committed to resolving conflict and fostering peace across the Asia-Pacific region.
Named in honor of former Asia Foundation president William P. Fuller, the fellowship supports emerging leaders involved in peace research, policy development, advocacy, and community-level initiatives.

A fully-funded U.S. study tour from October 13–24, 2025, visiting San Francisco, New York City, and Washington, D.C.

A professional development grant to support individual projects or career advancement.
Lifetime access to a regional and global peacebuilding network of changemakers.
Eligible Countries
Applicants must be citizens of one of the following countries or regions:
Afghanistan, Bangladesh, Bhutan, Cambodia, Indonesia, Japan, Laos, Malaysia, Mongolia, Myanmar, Nepal, Pacific Islands, Pakistan, Philippines, Singapore, Sri Lanka, Thailand, Timor-Leste, Vietnam.
Eligibility Criteria
To qualify, applicants must:
Be 40 years old or younger (born after October 13, 1985)
Hold citizenship from one of the eligible countries
Be fluent in English
Have at least 3 years of professional experience in a relevant field
Show proven leadership potential
Demonstrate a strong commitment to peacebuilding and conflict resolution
Be available for the entire U.S. study tour (October 13–24, 2025)
Be able to secure a U.S. visa
