The BI Presidential Scholarship for the 2024-2025 academic year is a fully-funded opportunity tailored for international students pursuing a master’s degree. It covers all tuition fees and offers a living expenses stipend for each semester.

BI Norwegian Business School stands as Norway’s largest business school and the second-largest in Europe, boasting four campuses with its primary location in Oslo. The institution is staffed by 845 individuals, including 404 academic staff members and 441 administrative personnel.

This prestigious scholarship is awarded to students with outstanding academic records, welcoming applications from both Norwegian and international candidates across all Master of Science programs.

Degree Level:

BI Presidential Scholarships 2024-2025, Norway (Fully Funded) supports Master’s level programs at BI Norwegian Business School.

Available Subjects:

All subjects are eligible under this scholarship program.

Scholarship Benefits:

  • For Norwegian and International Applicants residing in Norway: Full coverage of tuition fees for each semester, for up to two years, contingent upon meeting academic progression requirements.
  • For Sivøk Applicants: Full tuition fee coverage for each semester, for up to two years, subject to meeting academic progression requirements.
  • For International Applicants: Full tuition fee coverage and a stipend for each semester, for up to two years, provided academic progression requirements are met. The stipend assists with living expenses, covering approximately 70% of total expenses.

Eligible Nationalities:

This scholarship is open to both international and domestic students.

Eligibility Requirements:

To be considered for the BI Presidential Scholarships, candidates must meet the following criteria:

  • Maintain a minimum overall GPA of ‘A’ on the ECTS scale or its equivalent top-level grade on international grading scales.
  • Students enrolled in the 3rd year of the Sivøk programme are eligible to apply.
  • Applicants must hold either Norwegian citizenship or international citizenship from EU/EEA/Switzerland.
  • International candidates with connections to Norway who fulfill the eligibility criteria for Lånekassen are also eligible.
  • Candidates must be admitted to a Master of Science degree program at either campus Oslo or campus Bergen, except for the BI-Luiss Joint Masters in Marketing.

Please note: Applicants with citizenship from countries outside the EU/EEA/Switzerland are not eligible for this scholarship.

Application Procedure:

To apply for the scholarship:

  • Submit your scholarship application simultaneously with your admission application.
  • Write a scholarship application letter, limited to one page, explaining why you should be granted this scholarship. Scholarships are awarded based on academic merit rather than financial need.
  • Upload your letter to the designated ‘Scholarship’ section within your online application for admission.
  • Ensure all necessary documentation for evaluation for admission to a Master of Science program is included. The scholarship application will only be reviewed if a complete admission application is submitted and accepted.
  • BI students in their 3rd year of the Siviløkonom program can apply during the spring of their 3rd year by sending a scholarship application letter to [email protected] with the subject line: BI Presidential Scholarship Application.
  • International applicants applying for the BI Presidential Scholarship will also be considered for the MSc International Scholarship. A separate scholarship application letter is not required.
