BIM Scholarship Program
Deadline: May 12, 2025, 3:00 PM Central Time, or until 400 applications have been received.
The BIM Scholarship Program is administered by Scholarship America®, the largest organization in the U.S. dedicated to designing and managing scholarships, and other educational support programs for corporations, foundations, associations, and individuals. Scholarship eligibility is determined solely by the sponsor, and eligible applications will be evaluated by Scholarship America’s expert review team.
Eligibility Criteria
To apply for the BIM Scholarship Program, you must meet the following requirements:
Be a current postsecondary undergraduate student residing in Minnesota.
Plan to enroll full-time at the University of Minnesota – Twin Cities for the upcoming academic year.
Only the first 400 completed applications will be considered for the scholarship.
Important: Past recipients of the BIM Scholarship are not eligible to reapply.
Award Details
If selected as a recipient, you will receive a $5,000 scholarship. Please note that:
This scholarship is not renewable.
The award is for undergraduate study only.
Past recipients cannot reapply.
Notification
All applicants will be notified of the selection results in June 2025.
Payment of Scholarships
Scholarship America processes all payments on behalf of the sponsor. The scholarship funds will be paid in August 2025.
Selection Criteria
Scholarship recipients will be chosen based on the following factors:
Academic performance (transcript and grades).
Demonstrated leadership and participation in school and community activities.
Work experience and relevant extracurricular involvement.
Personal statement outlining educational and career goals.
Unusual personal or family circumstances that might impact the applicant’s ability to pursue higher education.
Financial need, as assessed by Scholarship America, must be demonstrated.
The selection process is conducted solely by Scholarship America, and applicants agree to accept the decision as final. The sponsor has no role in the selection process.
Required Documents
As part of your application, you must upload the following:
A current, complete transcript of your grades. Please note that grade reports will not be accepted. The transcript must include:
Your name.
The name of your school.
Grades and credit hours for each course and term.
