Workshop Details
Location: Lincoln Corner at Pakistan American Cultural Center (PACC), Karachi
Start Date: Monday, August 4, 2025
Schedule: Every Monday, 3:00 PM – 5:00 PM
Duration: 6 weeks (6 in-person sessions)
Eligibility: Only for university students residing in Karachi with basic video or filmmaking experience
Submission Deadline to Apply: July 23, 2025
What You’ll Learn
Participants will be guided through the complete process of documentary filmmaking, including:
Developing creative documentary concepts
Research and storytelling structure
Scriptwriting and interview planning
Storyboarding and shot listing
Camera and sound recording techniques
Editing and post-production workflow
Create Your Own Short Documentary
You will work in small teams to produce a 3 to 5-minute documentary film on a topic of your choice. Each group will:
Develop a complete pre-production plan
Conduct interviews
Film and edit a final short documentary
Present it during a closing screening session
Certification
Participants will receive a Certificate of Completion if they:
Attend at least 5 out of 6 sessions
Submit their final project by the deadline
