About the Scholarship

The École Normale Supérieure (ENS) International Selection Scholarships are designed to attract talented international students to France. These scholarships provide full financial support for those pursuing Master’s or Diploma programs at ENS in either the Sciences or Arts & Humanities fields.

Degree Level

This scholarship supports Master’s and Diploma level studies at École Normale Supérieure.

Benefits of the Scholarship

Selected candidates will receive:

1. Monthly Grant: €1,000 per month for three years.

Eligibility Criteria for École Normale Supérieure International Selection Scholarships

To qualify for the École Normale Supérieure (ENS) International Selection Scholarships, applicants must meet the following criteria:

Age Requirement

• Candidates must be under 26 years old at the time of application (must not have reached their 26th birthday).

Application Frequency

• Each candidate is allowed to apply to the International Selection only once.

Residency Restriction

• Candidates must not have lived in France for more than 10 months during the academic year of the selection (September 1 – August 31) or the previous year.

Academic Background

• Applicants must provide proof of:
  1. At least one year of undergraduate studies from a foreign university (outside France) during the calendar year preceding the start of applications.
  2. At least two years of undergraduate studies in a foreign university (outside France) by September 1st of the year following admission.

Application Procedure

The application process for the International Selection Scholarships is as follows:

Step 1: Submission of Application

• Submit your application according to the official ENS selection calendar. Ensure all required documents are included for the dossier to be considered complete.

Step 2: Jury Review

• Once submitted, your application will be reviewed by the jury.

Step 3: Written and Oral Tests

• If shortlisted, you will be invited to take written and oral tests.

Step 4: Final Selection

• The jury will evaluate your test results to determine the final list of admitted students.

Special Note for Cognitive Studies Applicants

Applicants interested in the Department of Cognitive Studies (DEC) may use either the Science or Arts & Humanities application forms. To make an informed choice, candidates must:

• Refer to the document detailing the differences between the two options.
• Contact the DEC department to select the most appropriate form based on their academic background.
