Woodbridge N. Ferris Scholarships for International Students – Ferris State University
Are you an international student entering college for the first time? Ferris State University proudly offers the Woodbridge N. Ferris (WNF) Scholarship to support academically qualified international students.
These merit-based scholarships are automatically awarded to eligible first-time students based on two main criteria:
High School GPA (on a 4.0 scale)
Standardized Test Scores (ACT, SAT, TOEFL, IELTS, Duolingo, or PTE)

Founder’s Scholarship
Award Amount: Up to $10,000 per year (maximum $40,000 over four years)

Provost’s Scholarship

SAT scores are based on the Evidence-Based Reading & Writing and Math Sections for exams taken after March 1, 2016.

International Transfer Scholarship
Are you an international student transferring to Ferris State University? You may be eligible for the Ferris International Transfer Scholarship.
Eligibility Criteria
Award Amount: $5,500 per year (up to $16,500 over three years)
Cumulative Transfer GPA: Minimum 3.3
Credit Hours: At least 12 accepted transfer credits
Enrollment: Full-time (minimum 12 credit hours)
Renewal GPA: 3.0 cumulative
Program: Undergraduate only
Note: Canadian students are not eligible for this scholarship as they do not pay international tuition rates.
This scholarship is designed to help reduce the cost difference between in-state and international tuition rates. To renew the scholarship, students must meet the university’s Satisfactory Academic Progress Policy.
