What Is the BCDI 2030 Scholarship?
BCDI 2030 is an eight-year (2022–2030) fully funded program aimed at promoting inclusive education and aligning with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). It focuses on reducing inequalities and fostering gender equity, with at least 51% of the recipients being women.

Who Can Apply?
Unlike other scholarships, individuals cannot apply directly for BCDI 2030. Instead, eligibility is determined through project-based partnerships between Canadian higher education institutions (HEIs) and institutions in eligible countries.

Benin, Burkina Faso, Cameroon, Central African Republic, Chad, Congo, Democratic Republic of the Congo, Egypt, Gabon, Ghana, Guinea-Bissau, Haiti, Ivory Coast, Kenya, Madagascar, Mali, Mauritania, Morocco, Niger, Rwanda, Sao Tome and Principe, Senegal, South Africa, Tanzania, Togo, Tunisia.
Eligibility Criteria
To qualify for BCDI 2030, applicants must:
- Be a citizen of one of the 26 eligible countries.
- Be nominated through a partner institution’s project-based selection process.
- Meet the academic and admission criteria of the Canadian university offering the program.
- Show a commitment to contributing to the social and economic development of their home country after graduation.
How to Apply
Application Process:
