Eligibility Criteria
The scholarship is open to students of all nationalities. Applicants can apply through two main routes:
1. Embassy Recommendation
Application Process:
April–July 2025: Apply through your local Japanese Embassy or Consulate
By September 1, 2025: Request a Letter of Provisional Acceptance from the University of Tsukuba
Sept–Oct 2025: Submit your acceptance letter to the Embassy
Nov 2025 – March 2026: MEXT conducts final screening
April or October 2026: Enroll at Tsukuba
Note: You must find a potential academic supervisor via TRIOS and inform the Division of Student Exchange.
2. University Recommendation
A. General Program
