The Rosa Luxemburg Stiftung Scholarships for the 2023-2024 academic year are fully funded scholarships aimed at international students pursuing master’s and PhD degrees. These scholarships offer a monthly stipend of 1350€, along with additional lump sum payments of 100€ to cover research expenses and subsidies for healthcare.
Funding for this program is provided by the Federal Foreign Office (Auswärtiges Amt). The duration of the scholarship depends on the standard length of your studies (Regelstudienzeit). Initially, the scholarship is granted for one year, with the possibility of extension if the necessary requirements are met. Extensions beyond the Regelstudienzeit are also possible.
The Scholarship Department of the Rosa-Luxemburg-Stiftung provides scholars with comprehensive support, including political education events, summer schools, workshops conducted domestically and internationally, symposia, and educational trips. Practical training opportunities are also organized in various areas such as rhetoric, conflict management, time management, self-management, academic skills enhancement, text and writing workshops, as well as specialized seminars on research methodology.
