Program Overview:
Google, in collaboration with Lime Connect, a non-profit organization supporting students with disabilities, is committed to fostering the next generation of leaders in computing and technology. The program aims to eliminate barriers hindering students with disabilities from pursuing education in computer science. Selected students will receive financial support for the 2023-2024 academic year.
Amount:
- $10,000 USD for applicants in the United States
- $5,000 CAD for applicants in Canada

- Open to students in the United States and Canada

- Applications open in early 2024
Who Can Apply:
To be eligible, applicants must:
- Have a visible or invisible disability (refer to Lime Connect’s disability approach).
- Be a full-time student in a Bachelor’s program at an accredited university or college for the 2023-2024 academic year.
- Intend to be enrolled or accepted as a full-time student in a Bachelor’s program at a US or Canadian accredited university for the 2024-2025 academic year.
- Demonstrate a strong academic record.
- Pursue a degree in computer science, computer engineering, or a closely related technical field.
- Exemplify leadership and passion for computer science and technology.
Application Process:
Applicants will complete an online application through Lime Connect, including:
- General background information (e.g., contact details and current/intended universities).
- Resume/CV.
- Academic transcripts from current and prior institutions (if applicable).
- One letter of reference from a professor, instructor, adviser, or supervisor.
- Responses to three short answer essay questions.
Recipients will be selected based on the overall strength of their essays and application materials compared to the entire applicant pool.
