Scholarship Benefits

Eligibility Criteria
General Requirements
- A university degree with above-average grades (e.g., Master of Arts with thesis, Magister Artium, or equivalent) in a relevant field such as:
- Albanian Studies
- Cognitive Linguistics
- English Linguistics
- German Linguistics
- Romance Linguistics
- Slavic Linguistics
- Theoretical Linguistics
- The final thesis grade and overall grade must not be lower than 2.50.
- Proficiency in at least two European academic languages (German is mandatory). Knowledge of a non-European academic language is an advantage.
Additional DAAD Scholarship Requirements
- Applicants must be international students.
- Should not have resided in Germany for more than 15 months before May 1, 2025.
- Graduation must not be older than six years by May 1, 2025.
Application Procedure
Step 1: Prepare Your Documents
Applicants must submit the following documents:
- Motivation essay (1-2 pages)
- Research proposal (10-12 pages, under 35,000 characters)
- Two recommendation letters (DAAD template required)
- Curriculum Vitae (CV) with academic background
- Copies of academic certificates and diplomas
- University thesis or a 2-3 page abstract (if written in a lesser-used language)
Step 2: Submit Your Application Online
- Register and upload documents on the online application portal (Opens on February 26, 2025).
- Ensure all documents are submitted before April 1, 2025.
