International Master’s Research Scholarship Description:
The University of Otago International Master’s Award provides funds and support to International Master’s students studying at the University of Otago. Scholarships support students during the thesis part of a research Master’s degree.

Offers Leadership and partnership roles in national Centres of Research Excellence and New Zealand’s National Science Challenges, and leadership of Genomics Aotearoa. The University has four academic divisions: Humanities, Sciences, Health Sciences and Business offering more than 200 undergraduate and postgraduate programmes.
It is the home of New Zealand’s first medical school and of New Zealand’s only schools of Dentistry and Surveying. Has got Internationally accredited Business School: AACSB and EQUIS accreditations. Applicants must be:
• obtaining their first Master’s qualification
• an international student
• undertaking a thesis-based Master’s
Selection is based predominantly on academic merit and the applicant’s potential for research. Due to the limited number of these scholarships, applicants require very good grades to be successful. The University only recommends applying if your grades in the later years of your degree are at A or A+ level.
