The HZB International Summer Student Program 2024 in Germany (Fully Funded) is designed for those pursuing undergraduate studies at Helmholtz Zentrum Berlin (HZB).
Available Subjects:
All subjects are accessible under this scholarship program.
Scholarship Benefits:
- Non-German students: 1,900€ gross
- Berlin and Potsdam university students: 1,000€ gross
Travel Support:
- Covers 75% of travel expenses
- Up to 200€ for EU countries
- Up to 800€ for non-EU countries
Assists in travel between Berlin and participants’ residences

Eligibility Criteria:
Open to students worldwide.
- Must be an undergraduate student (excluding PhD) in fields such as Physics, Chemistry, Material Science, Structural Biology, Mathematics, Engineering, Life Sciences, Environmental Sciences, or related disciplines.
- Completion of at least two years of full-time study in the major discipline at the university level.
- Enrollment as a student at your university during the program duration from July 1 to August 23, 2024.
- Proficiency in English; knowledge of German is advantageous.
- Ability to furnish a letter of reference with the application.
Application Procedure: Program Conditions:
- Mandatory participation for the entire program duration.
- Working hours: 40 hours per week.
- Internship contract spanning 8 weeks dedicated to your project.
