Benefits of Studying at KAIST

Why Choose KAIST?

1. English-Medium Instruction

Since 2008, KAIST has conducted nearly all of its courses in English, creating an ideal environment for international students without language barriers. Notably, KAIST does not require TOPIK (Test of Proficiency in Korean) scores for admission, ensuring a seamless transition for non-Korean speakers.

2. Non-Declared Major System

KAIST provides academic flexibility through its non-declared major system. Students can enroll in programs without selecting a major at the outset and can choose their field of study starting in their second year. This approach allows students to explore various disciplines before making a decision.

3. Comprehensive KAIST Scholarship for International Students

All international undergraduate students at KAIST receive a scholarship that includes:

  • Full Tuition Waiver: Covers up to 8 semesters (4 years).
