Who Can Apply?

Eligibility Criteria:

  • Must be internationally trained sonographers recruited via NHSE CDC or currently working in the UK NHS (non-obstetrics).

  • Hold a clinical placement in the NHS starting September 2025, with a minimum of 14 hours per week.

  • Fulfill King’s College London’s standard academic and English language requirements.

How to Apply

  1. Apply online via King’s Apply Portal for the Pg Cert in Clinical Ultrasound.

  2. During the application, tick funding box number 5 and use the funding code: US2025.

  3. Pay the non-refundable application fee of £85.

  4. Prepare and upload the following documents:

    • Personal statement outlining your experience and motivation.

    • Skills gap analysis self-assessment.

    • Academic transcripts, certificates, and registration documents.

    • Updated CV/resume.

    • Two professional references (one must be from your NHS employer).

    • Employer’s letter of support and a memorandum of agreement for your placement.

    • Proof of English proficiency and right to work/study in the UK (if applicable).

Selection Process

  • Shortlisted candidates will be invited for a 30-minute interview via Microsoft Teams.

  • Finalists will attend an in-person workshop and entrance exam (for those requesting RPL credits).

  • Final decisions will be communicated by 1 September 2025.
