KU Leuven Masters Fully Funded Scholarships News 2024-25, Belgium 

Eligibility Criteria:

To qualify for the KU Leuven Scholarship, candidates must fulfill the following criteria:

1. Language Proficiency:
   • Demonstrate proficiency in English, with a minimum TOEFL score of 94 or a minimum IELTS score of 7.
2. Nationality:
   • The scholarship is open to applicants from all countries around the world.
3. Previous Affiliation:
   • Applicants should not have previously studied or worked at the University of Leuven.
4. Academic Qualification:
   • Hold a bachelor’s degree from a foreign university that grants them admission to the master’s program they are seeking.
5. Educational Attainment:
   • Applicants should not have already obtained a master’s degree or a Ph.D.
6. Academic Excellence:
   • Provide evidence of outstanding academic performance in their prior education.
7. Motivation:
   • Demonstrate a strong motivation to pursue a master’s program at the Faculty of Science at KU Leuven.
8. Ambassadorial Role:
   • Successful scholarship recipients should be willing to act as ambassadors for the program.

A contractual agreement outlining the conditions of acceptance will be presented to students who are awarded the scholarship.

Application Procedure:

To apply for the KU Leuven Scholarship, follow the steps outlined below:

1. Master’s Program Application:
   • Initiate the application for your chosen master’s program using the KU Leuven application tool.
   • Carefully review and adhere to the provided application instructions.
2. Document Upload:
   • Utilize the KU Leuven application tool to upload the following information:
     • A comprehensive list of course titles for which you have earned credits. Include details on the course size (in ECTS-credits) and your results, preferably using the ECTS-scale. If a different scoring system is used, provide a concise explanation of the score interpretation.
     • Concise descriptions, following standard ECTS-study guide guidelines, for the courses most relevant to the master’s program of interest.
     • Two reference letters from internationally renowned professors.
     • A letter of motivation for the program.
3. Confirmation of Master’s Program Application:
   • Upon successful completion and submission of your master’s program application, you will receive a confirmation message on the screen.
   • Capture a screenshot of this message, as it will be needed during the Science@Leuven Scholarship registration.
4. Science@Leuven Scholarship Application:
   • Proceed to apply for the Science@Leuven Scholarship by clicking here.
   • Complete your registration upon receiving an email confirming your Science@Leuven Scholarship application.

Important Note:

• Only students meeting all specified requirements will be eligible for the scholarship.
• You can apply for the scholarship immediately after applying for a specific master’s program; there’s no need to wait for program acceptance. However, your scholarship application won’t be considered if it’s evident you won’t be admitted to the master’s program.
