The Three Dot Dash Global Teen Leaders Program for 2024 is dedicated to empowering young visionaries. This program calls upon aspiring young leaders from around the world to amplify their impact. Organized by the We Are Family Foundation, this initiative aims to acknowledge and support the efforts of teenagers who address crucial issues, offer solutions, and take tangible actions. Three Dot Dash is a global initiative that encourages collaboration among Global Teen Leaders committed to projects that advance a more peaceful community.
About Three Dot Dash:
Three Dot Dash, a global initiative established by the We Are Family Foundation, identifies and empowers exceptional young leaders, known as Global Teen Leaders (GTLs), who actively address urgent global issues. The program recognizes individuals between 13 and 19 years old who showcase remarkable leadership abilities and a dedication to fostering positive changes within their communities. The program’s name, “Three Dot Dash,” represents the Morse code for the letter “V,” symbolizing “victory” and encapsulating the program’s objective to conquer global challenges through the efforts of young visionaries.
Global Teen Leaders chosen for the Three Dot Dash program convene at the annual Just Peace Summit, a seven-day event situated in New York, USA. During this summit, GTLs partake in a series of activities, workshops, and mentorship sessions intended to refine their leadership skills, encourage collaboration, and provide a platform for sharing their initiatives. The program’s focus encompasses projects that address essential human needs like food, water, health, shelter, education, safety, and the environment. The primary aim is to cultivate a more peaceful and interconnected global community through the tangible and impactful efforts of these young leaders.
Prospective Global Teen Leaders eligible for Three Dot Dash must be nominated by qualified individuals, including Three Dot Dash Coalition Partners, GTL Alumni, Mentor Alumni, Staff Members from Educational Institutions, We Are Family Foundation or Three Dot Dash Team Members, or We Are Family Foundation Board Members. The program covers all expenses related to the summit, encompassing air/train travel, visa fees, accommodations, meals, and ground travel in New York City, providing a supportive environment for young leaders to amplify their work and contribute to a more peaceful world.
