The NIGERIAN AGIP OIL COMPANY LIMITED, the operator of the NNPC/NAOC/OOL Joint Venture, is delighted to announce its Tertiary Scholarship Scheme designed to support Nigerian students in their educational endeavors.

In line with its Corporate Social Responsibility, the NNPC/NAOC/OANDO Joint Venture extends an invitation to suitably qualified applicants to apply for the 2023 Tertiary Scholarship Scheme. This scholarship opportunity is highly competitive for Nigerian Students.

Scholarship Details:

The scholarship scheme is an integral part of the corporate social responsibility initiative by the joint venture between NNPC, NAOC, and OANDO, aimed at supporting Nigerian students in pursuing their tertiary education aspirations.

Category of Awards:

  • Host/Transit Communities Merit Award: This category is specifically for applicants from NAOC Host/Transit Communities.
  • National Merit Award: This category is open to applicants from Non-Host/Transit communities within Nigeria.

Eligibility Criteria:

To qualify for the 2023 NNPC/NAOC/OANDO JV Tertiary Scholarship Scheme, applicants must satisfy the following criteria:

  • Enrollment: Applicants must be currently enrolled in a recognized tertiary institution on a full-time basis.
  • Full-Time Undergraduates: Only students who are registered as full-time undergraduates in Nigerian Tertiary Institutions are eligible.
  • 100 Level Students: Applicants must be certified 100 level students at the time of application, specifically those admitted in the 2022/2023 academic session.
  • Exclusion: Students in the following categories are not eligible to apply:
    • Students in 200 level and above.
    • Current recipients of similar awards from other companies and agencies.
    • Dependents of NAOC/NAE/AENR/NACPFA.
  • Host Communities Merit Award: Only individuals who are indigenes of NAOC Host/Transit Communities in Rivers, Bayelsa, Delta, and Imo States are eligible to apply for the Host Communities Merit Award.
  • National Merit Award Eligibility: The National Merit Award is open to applicants who are studying Engineering, Geology, Geosciences, and Agricultural Science.

How to Apply:

To apply for the 2023 NNPC/NAOC/OANDO JV Tertiary Scholarship Scheme, follow these steps:

  1. Click on the “Apply Now” tab.
  2. Select “Register Now” to create an account.
  3. Activate your account by following the instructions sent to your email.
  4. Go to https://candidate.scholastica.ng/schemes/naocscholarship2023 to return to the scholarship site.
  5. Log in using your registered email and password to upload your information.
  6. Provide your personal details, National Identification Number (if available), educational information, and other required information. Upload the necessary scanned documents.
  7. Ensure that the name used in your application matches the names on all your documents. If not, include a sworn affidavit or certificate.
  8. Double-check all uploaded documents to avoid errors.
  9. When asked to upload a photo, use a passport photograph with a white background.
  10. Review your application information to ensure accuracy.
  11. Click “Apply Now” to submit your information.
  12. You will receive an email and SMS confirming the successful submission of your application.
  13. Return to www.scholastica.ng, log in with your email and password, and download your profile. Get the document signed by your Head of Department.
  14. Upload a scanned copy of the signed profile for verification.
  15. If you did not provide your National Identification Number (NIN) in step 6:
  • Visit http://ninenrol.gov.ng to register and learn more about the National Identity Number.
  • Click on “Create Account” and fill in the required fields.
  • Log in with your email and password to complete the form.
  • Schedule a date for photo and fingerprint capture.
  • Visit any of the capture centres mentioned at https://www.nimc.gov.ng/?q=nin-registration-centres to complete the registration process and obtain your National Identity Number.
  • Alternatively, complete your registration at the NIMC office.
  1. Return to https://candidate.scholastica.ng/schemes/naocscholarship2023 and update your application with your National Identification Number (NIN) to ensure completion.
