Eligible Nationalities
This scholarship is open to:
- Canadian Citizens studying at either a Canadian or foreign institution.
- Permanent Residents or Foreign Nationals enrolled in a doctoral program at a Canadian institution.

Doctoral Program Status
- Enrollment: You must be enrolled in the first or second year of a full-time doctoral program, starting year three in September 2024 or later.
- Completion Timeline: You are expected to complete your doctoral studies by 2027 or later.
Field of Study
- Your research should be broadly related to the humanities or social sciences, with a particular focus on Canada’s future.
Research Focus
- Your doctoral research must align with at least one of the Foundation’s four key themes:
- Human Rights and Dignity
- Responsible Citizenship
- Canada and the World
- People and their Natural Environment

Step 2: Complete the Application
Ensure you provide the following information:
- Basic Information: Fill out your personal details.
- Essay Questions: Answer essay questions (200-400 words each).
- Doctoral Project Description: Outline your doctoral project (200-400 words).
- List of Achievements: Highlight your relevant achievements and experiences.
- Transcripts: Upload your academic transcripts (note: transcripts from Quebec CEGEP are not required).
- References: Provide contact information for two references, including at least one academic referee.
