Singapore South-East Asia Fellowship 2025 – Fully Funded Postdoctoral Research Opportunity

The Singapore National Academy of Science (SNAS) invites applications for the SG Academies South-East Asia Fellowship (SASEAF) Programme 2025. This prestigious initiative supports early-career postdoctoral researchers from ASEAN countries to conduct advanced research in Singapore.

Fellowship Benefits

Selected fellows will receive:

• Monthly stipend of SGD 4,000 – SGD 6,500 (based on experience)

• One-time travel allowance of SGD 4,000 (covering arrival and departure)

Eligibility Criteria

Applicants must:

• Be a citizen of an ASEAN member state (excluding Singapore)

• Be 40 years old or younger at the time of application

• Hold a PhD from a reputable institution

• Be employed (or have a confirmed offer) at a public-sector research institute in their home country

• Be proficient in English (spoken and written)

Required Documents

Prepare the following for your application:

• Completed Application Form

• Research Proposal (maximum 2 pages)

• In-principle approval from a host professor or principal investigator in Singapore

• Certified academic transcripts and diplomas

• Two recommendation letters

Evaluation Criteria

Applications will be assessed based on:

• Potential societal or scientific impact in both the home country and Singapore

• Commitment to continue research post-fellowship
