• Bachelor’s Degree: 490 scholarships

Eligibility Requirements

For Bachelor’s Degree Applicants:

• Must be applying for the first time to a Bachelor’s program

• Valid passport or refugee certificate

• High school diploma with a minimum “Good” grade average

• Motivational essay in Kazakh, Russian, or English

• Two letters of recommendation from academic or professional sources

• Medical certificate, including HIV/AIDS test results

• Notarized translation of academic documents if not in Kazakh, Russian, or English

For Master’s Degree Applicants:

• First-time applicants to a Master’s program

• Bachelor’s or Specialist diploma with a minimum GPA of 3.0/4.0 or equivalent

• Motivational essay and two recommendation letters

• Medical certificate and HIV/AIDS test

• Language proficiency in one of the following (required unless previous education was in the language of instruction):

  • TOEFL iBT: Minimum 46

  • IELTS Academic: Minimum 5.5

  • TestDaF / DSH (German)

  • DELF / DALF / TFI / TCF (French)

  • HSK Level 4 (Chinese)

For PhD Applicants:

• Master’s or Specialist diploma with GPA of at least 3.0/4.0 or equivalent

• Motivational essay and two recommendation letters

• Medical certificate and HIV/AIDS test

• Language certificate as outlined above

• Justification for the proposed dissertation topic in Kazakh, Russian, or English
