Online MBA Scholarships at Durham University Business School

Durham University Business School offers a comprehensive package of scholarships to celebrate and reward exceptional candidates applying to the March 2025 Online MBA programme. All applicants who hold an unconditional offer will automatically be considered for applicable scholarships, provided they meet the eligibility criteria below. No separate scholarship application is required.

Application Deadlines

To be eligible, applicants must hold an unconditional offer by the following deadlines:

Round One: Monday, 2 December 2024
Round Two: Monday, 10 February 2025

Important: Any outstanding documents must be submitted at least one week prior to the respective deadline to ensure timely consideration by the Admissions Department.

Scholarship Notification

Only successful candidates will be notified of scholarship (tuition fee discount) decisions within two weeks of the unconditional offer deadlines. Unsuccessful applicants from Round One will automatically be reconsidered for applicable awards in Round Two.

Eligibility Criteria

Scholarships are awarded to unconditional offer holders who:

Demonstrate outstanding experience, including significant postgraduate work experience in roles with high managerial responsibility.
Have an impressive academic record. Applicants with the minimum work experience required must showcase exceptional extra-curricular achievements.
Show potential to contribute to and enrich the diverse academic and cultural profile of the MBA cohort.
Exhibit the potential to become exemplary alumni ambassadors, contributing positively to the School, organisations, and communities.

Terms and Conditions

To qualify for a scholarship, applicants must:

Submit their Online MBA programme application and hold an unconditional offer by the deadlines listed above.
Ensure all outstanding documents are submitted at least one week prior to the deadline.
Be available to join the March 2025 Online MBA cohort.
Be willing to participate in the School’s marketing and communication activities, such as testimonials, public relations opportunities, and attending open events or webinars.
Be entirely self-funding. Applicants whose fees are partially or fully paid by an employer, private provider, or government body are not eligible. Failure to disclose external funding will invalidate any scholarship offered.

Additional Notes

Scholarship decisions are final and made at the School’s discretion.
Scholarships are applied as a discount against the full tuition fee for the programme.
Scholarships are non-transferable and non-deferrable. If an applicant defers entry, they must reapply for scholarships available in the subsequent academic year.
No cash alternative is offered if the place on the programme is not taken up.

Withdrawal or Suspension of Studies

Withdrawal:

Scholars who withdraw from their commitments or from the University will have future scholarship payments cancelled.
Any scholarship payments already made will be reclaimed on a pro-rata basis. Exceptional cases may be reviewed by the Faculty Executive Dean.

Suspension of Studies:

Scholars who suspend their commitments or academic studies will have future scholarship payments cancelled.
Payments already made will be reclaimed on a pro-rata basis, unless otherwise approved by the Faculty Executive Dean. The remaining balance will be payable upon resumption of studies and scholarship commitments.
