The Mabuchi International Scholarship Foundation was founded in 1990 by Mabuchi Motor Co., Ltd, a top manufacturer of small electric motors. This non-profit organization aims to support promising students from developing countries who desire to pursue advanced studies in Japan, as a way to contribute to the development of society. The foundation offers scholarships to exceptional students who have been accepted by Japanese universities or graduate schools, covering tuition, living expenses, and travel costs for the duration of their studies in Japan. Additionally, the foundation provides assistance for Japanese language study and cultural experiences.
The scholarship program is available to students from Asia, the Middle East, Africa, and Latin America, who are under 30 years of age, have a strong academic record, and are committed to contributing to their home country’s development. Applicants must hold a bachelor’s degree or equivalent and be proficient in either English or Japanese.
Since its inception, the Mabuchi International Scholarship Foundation has supported hundreds of students and has played an essential role in promoting international education and understanding.
