Who Can Apply?
The Tongarewa International Scholarships 2025 is open to international students from all nationalities who meet the following criteria:
Eligibility Requirements:
- Must be an international student paying full international tuition fees.
- Must be newly enrolling in:
- The first year of an undergraduate degree OR
- A postgraduate degree program at Victoria University of Wellington.
Who Is Not Eligible?
- Students who completed secondary education in New Zealand.
- Students who have completed an English for Academic Purposes (EAP) or Foundation Studies Program at Victoria University of Wellington.
- Students enrolled in Study Abroad or Twinning Programs through partner institutions.
- Students continuing into the second year of the same degree program at the university.

A dedicated selection panel from Wellington University International will review all applications.
How to Apply?
Interested applicants must complete an online application and submit the following:
- Personal Statement (max. 500 words) outlining:
- Reasons for choosing Victoria University of Wellington.
- Academic goals and future aspirations.
- Leadership experience and community involvement.
- Full Academic Transcripts and any other required documents based on qualification type.
- Proof of Admission (either a conditional or unconditional offer) from Victoria University of Wellington.
