United Arab Emirates University (UAEU) Offering Space Science Scholarship under the Arab Space Pioneers Program
The United Arab Emirates University (UAEU) is proud to offer the Space Science Scholarship under the esteemed Arab Space Pioneers Program. This initiative is designed to foster the next generation of Arab leaders in Space Science and Technology by providing exceptional opportunities for advanced education and research.
This two-year scholarship is open to Arab nationals with outstanding academic records, a passion for space sciences, and a commitment to full-time study and research. Candidates must meet specific eligibility criteria, including relevant educational backgrounds, language proficiency, and GPA standards.
Eligibility Criteria
To qualify for this prestigious scholarship, applicants must meet the following criteria:
- Nationality: Must be an Arab national.
- Academic Excellence: A minimum GPA of 3.3/4.0 in their Bachelor’s degree.
- Financial Independence: Must not have employment or other financial sponsorship.
- Program Admission: Admission to the UAEU MSc program in Space Science or related disciplines is required.
- Language Proficiency: IELTS score of 6.0 (or equivalent) or higher.
- Educational Background: A Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field, such as Space Science, Physics, Engineering (Mechanical/Electrical), Computer Engineering, IT, GIS, or Remote Sensing.
Note: Meeting the minimum eligibility does not guarantee admission. Candidates are selected based on merit and overall suitability.
Scholarship Benefits
Recipients of the scholarship will enjoy the following benefits:
- Full Tuition Waiver: No fees for the entire program duration.
- Monthly Stipend: To cover living expenses.
- Health Insurance: Provided if required.
- Performance-Based Bonuses: Additional funding opportunities include:
- Up to AED 3,000/month from the supervisor’s external research project.
- Up to AED 2,000/month from the supervisor’s internal research project.
Duties and Expectations
Selected scholars are required to:
- Maintain a GPA of 3.3 or higher at the Master’s level.
- Be enrolled full-time at UAEU, taking a minimum of 9 credits per semester.
- Be present full-time at UAEU for the duration of the program.
- Dedicate a minimum of 40 hours/week to coursework and research throughout the year.
