Scholarship Benefits:
Successful applicants will benefit from a 50% fee waiver, credited directly to their tuition fees account. Additionally, students who opt for the Early Payment Discount and apply for this scholarship can receive a refund if eligible. Applicants are also permitted to apply for multiple scholarships and bursaries; however, they are entitled to receive only one scholarship, one bursary, or an alumni discount—whichever offers the highest deduction from their tuition fees. Eligibility Criteria:
Course Commencement:
Applicants must be commencing a postgraduate taught certificate, diploma, or master’s course at the University.
Commencement Period:
The course must start in either September 2024 or January 2025.
Enrollment Status:
Applicants must be studying on a full-time or part-time basis at one of the University’s campuses.
Fee Assessment:
The admissions team must classify the applicant as a Home fee status during the fee assessment.

Applicants must meet all the specified criteria to be eligible for the award.
Course Categories Ineligibility:
Applicants for courses falling into the following categories are ineligible:
- Courses delivered online or via distance learning.
- Postgraduate courses delivered at the University’s partner institution.
- PGCE courses.
- Professional Diploma in Architecture Part 2 or MArch Architecture.
- Integrated master’s degrees.
- Postgraduate research degrees, including MPhil, PhD, and Professional Doctorates.
MA Social Work Exclusion:
Students enrolled in MA Social Work programs receiving government funding are ineligible for the award.

Decisions are based on the quality of the student’s application. - Internal Assessment:
Applications will be internally assessed by a relevant staff member, and all decisions are considered final. - Notification of Outcome:
Successful applicants will receive provisional outcome notifications via email. - Confirmation of Scholarships:
Scholarships will be confirmed only upon the issuance of an unconditional offer by the admissions team. - Communication Method:
All further communications will be conducted via email. - Limited Scholarships:
Scholarships are limited in number and awarded based on merit and internal allocation criteria established annually. - Discretionary Awarding:
The University reserves the right not to award all scholarships if the quality of applications is deemed insufficient. - Application Deadline:
Applications received after the deadline (Sunday, July 28 at 11:55 pm) will not be considered. - Feedback Limitations:
Due to the high volume of scholarship applications, individual feedback cannot be provided to unsuccessful applicants.
Prerequisite for Application:
- Before starting the scholarship application: Applicants must first apply for an eligible course at UEL and obtain a unique Student ID number.
- Enrollment Status: Applicants already enrolled in a program at UEL are not eligible to apply for a scholarship towards that specific program.
- Application Period for 2024/25:
- Scholarship applications for the academic year 2024/25 will open on Monday, January 15, 2024.
- The final deadline for submitting scholarship applications is Sunday, July 28, at 11:55 pm.
Decision Turnaround – 1st Round (15 January-26 April):
- Decision outcomes for applications received between January 15 and April 26 will be communicated to applicants within 3 weeks of the closing date.
Decision Turnaround – 2nd Round (26 April-28 July):
- Decision outcomes for applications received between April 26 and July 28 will be communicated to applicants within 3 weeks of the closing date.
Late Applications:
Late applications beyond the specified deadline will not be accepted.
