Degree Requirements
A first-class or strong upper second-class undergraduate degree with honors in a relevant humanities discipline is required. For U.S. applicants, a minimum overall GPA of 3.6 is generally required, with most successful applicants having a higher GPA.
Competitiveness
Admission is highly competitive; successful applicants typically have achieved a first-class degree or its equivalent.
International Qualifications
Applicants with degrees from outside the UK or USA should refer to the International Qualifications page for equivalent requirements.
GRE/GMAT
No GRE or GMAT scores are required for admission.
English Language Proficiency
Proficiency at the University’s higher level is required. Minimum scores for English proficiency tests:
- IELTS Academic: Overall 7.5, with at least 7.0 in each component.
- TOEFL iBT: Overall 110, with component scores: Listening 22, Reading 24, Speaking 25, Writing 24.
- C1 Advanced or C2 Proficiency: Overall 191, with at least 185 in each component.
