Selected fellows will receive a comprehensive support package, including:
- Stipend: £1,000 per 28-day visit (pro-rata for shorter stays).
- Accommodation: Self-catered, one-bedroom apartment or equivalent.
- Travel: Economy-class return airfare, arranged by the University.
- Airport Transfers: Assistance with transport to and from St Andrews.
- Academic Resources: Access to world-class IT and library facilities.
Fellows are expected to engage in scholarly activities, deliver research seminars, and collaborate with students and staff. For those unable to visit in person, fully virtual fellowships or shorter visits can be arranged.

The fellowship is open to all academic disciplines offered at the University of St Andrews.
Eligibility Criteria
Applicants must:
- Hold a PhD degree or equivalent.
- Be employed at a university, research institute, or similar organization outside the UK.
- Have a strong research profile aligned with the academic interests of the host School at St Andrews.
Application Process
Interested applicants should:
- Identify shared research interests with St Andrews academics and discuss potential collaborations.
- Submit a completed Global Fellowship application form and an academic CV to [email protected] by 17:00 GMT on 3 March 2025.
Selection Process
- Applications will be reviewed by relevant Schools.
- Final selection will be made by a multidisciplinary committee.
- Successful candidates will be notified by 30 May 2025.
