Scholarship Benefits
Excellence Scholarships for Bachelor Students
These scholarships are awarded through a collaboration between the University of St. Gallen, St.Galler Stiftung für Internationale
Studien (SSIS), and the Monique Dornonville de la Cour – Stiftung, with the Advice Center for Study Funding providing merit-based
awards to exceptional Bachelor students.
Excellence Scholarships for Master Students
Scholarship Amount: CHF 20,000 annually for students enrolled in Master’s programs.
In addition to these scholarships, some Master’s programs offer their own excellence scholarships. Students should contact their
program representatives for more details.
Partner Study Foundations
The University of St. Gallen also collaborates with two distinguished scholarship foundations:
- Swiss Study Foundation
- German Academic Scholarship Foundation
Outstanding students may be nominated by the Advice Center for Study Funding for further scholarship opportunities through these foundations.
Eligibility Criteria
Excellence Scholarships for Bachelor Students
Criteria: Students enrolled in a Bachelor’s program at HSG who demonstrate outstanding academic performance during the HSG Assessment Year.
Excellence Scholarships for Master Students
Criteria: Open to foreign-language students with a recognized foreign Bachelor’s degree who are enrolled in one of the English-language Master’s programs at HSG.
Application Procedure
Excellence Scholarships for Bachelor Students
The Advice Center for Study Funding identifies eligible students based on academic performance. Only students invited by the center are allowed to apply. Uninvited applications will not be accepted.
Excellence Scholarships for Master Students
Similarly, the Advice Center selects outstanding Master’s students based on specific criteria. Invited students are required to submit additional documentation. The final decision is made by the program representatives.
