About the Program
The Veterans Bursary Program was created to distribute funds from a $10 million settlement established by the Federal Court of Canada in the case of Manuge v. Her Majesty The Queen. This settlement aims to support Canadian veterans and their families through access to higher education.
On April 15, 2013, the court issued a settlement order that established the fund.
In 2021, additional Class Members were added following the Toth v. Her Majesty The Queen case.
In 2022, the program was further expanded to include more eligible applicants.
Universities Canada ensures strict compliance with privacy and legal standards while administering this program.
