International Scholarships at James Cook University Australia 2021-2022

For eligible students from the United States, Canada, Latin America, the United Kingdom and Europe.

The JCU International Excellence Scholarship provides a significant tuition fee reduction throughout the entire duration of approved full degree study programs, provided recipients maintain a strong GPA each semester.

Scholarship eligibility is automatically assessed during the JCU admissions process. Eligible students will receive an offer for their program of study and the International Excellence Scholarship concurrently.

Please note: some programs are ineligible for the International Excellence Scholarship. This includes, but is not limited to, the Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery, Bachelor of Dental Surgery, Bachelor of Veterinary Science, Master of Engineering (Professional), and online and non-award programs.

Please note:

JCU has extended the eligibility for the International Excellence Scholarship to include all international students who are offshore studying an internal course online provided they meet all other eligibility requirements. This scholarship will provide an upfront 25% tuition fee reduction for the duration of your degree.  Once onshore you can elect to convert to the International Student Merit Stipend scholarship.

For eligible students from Asia, Africa, Papua New Guinea and the Middle East.

The JCU International Student Merit Stipend provides monthly payments of A$700 to assist with expenses throughout the duration of study at JCU, providing a strong GPA is maintained.

Scholarship eligibility is automatically assessed during the admissions process. Eligible students will receive an offer for their program of study and the International Student Merit Stipend concurrently.

Available for international students enrolling into the Diploma of Engineering, Diploma of Health (Nursing Pathway), Diploma of Science, and Diploma of Technology.

The JCU College Pathways Scholarships provide a 25% reduction in tuition fees.

All applicants will be considered for the scholarship, therefore there is no application required. Successful applicants will receive a scholarship offer with their course offer letter, which will include full terms and conditions of the scholarship.

Please note: JCU College Pathway Scholarships do not apply to JCU College’s English for Academic Purposes subject or courses delivered as ELICOS.

Students who transition from JCU College Diplomas to JCU Bachelor’s degrees, after completing the JCU College Diploma with a GPA of 4.5 or greater.

The JCU International Merit Stipend is available to students from Asia, Africa, Papua New Guinea and the Middle East. The JCU International Excellence Scholarship is available to students from the United States, Canada, Latin America, the United Kingdom and Europe.

No application is required.

JCU offers highly competitive scholarships to students commencing research degrees at Master or Doctoral level. Students must be accepted for a place in a research degree program to be considered for scholarship support.
