International Master’s Scholarship Program IDEX 2023-24

Université Paris-Saclay is committed to providing international students with access to its Master’s programs, offered by its various faculties, component-institutions, and associated universities. With a focus on highly qualified international students who are interested in pursuing research up to the doctoral level, the university aims to ease the process of joining the institution.

For the 2023-2024 academic year, scholarships will be available for students who have been accepted into a Master’s program offered by Université Paris-Saclay and provided by any of the following institutions: AgroParisTech, CentraleSupelec, Ecole Normale Supérieure Paris-Saclay (ENS Paris-Saclay), INSTN-CEA, Institut d’Optique Graduate School (IOGS), Université d’Evry-Val-d’Essonne (UEVE), Université Paris-Saclay (UPSaclay), Université de Versailles-Saint-Quentin-en-Yvelines (UVSQ). The scholarships will be granted based on academic achievements and funded by the IDEX initiative of the 3rd Programme Investissements d’Avenir.

These scholarships are available for either 1 or 2 years, depending on the student’s admission level (M1 or M2), and are conditional upon completing the necessary requirements.

The International Master’s Scholarship Program IDEX 2023-24, offered by the University of Paris-Saclay in France, is open to students who wish to pursue Master’s level programs at the university.

Eligibility Criteria:

To be eligible for the Université Paris-Saclay International Master’s Scholarship Program IDEX 2023-24, applicants must meet the following criteria:

  • Be admitted to a Master’s program at Université Paris-Saclay delivered by one of the following institutions: AgroParisTech, CentraleSupelec, ENS Paris-Saclay, INSTN-CEA, IOGS, UEVE, UPSaclay, UVSQ.
  • Meet one of the following criteria:
    • Newly arrived international students who are aged 30 or below during the selection year.
    • Foreign nationals who have been living in France for less than a year and have either not enrolled in any certification courses, or are currently enrolled in a non-certification training course or internship.
    • Foreign nationals who have been living in France for less than a year and are taking language classes (type FFL).
    • Students who have previously lived in France as part of a mobility program during their studies (e.g. Erasmus Mundus Joint Master’s Degrees, exchange program) that did not lead to certification.

Note that meeting the eligibility criteria does not guarantee the award of a scholarship.

Application Procedure:

To apply for the Université Paris-Saclay International Master’s Scholarship Program IDEX 2023-24, the following steps must be followed:

  1. Selected students will receive an email containing a link to an online application form. Applicants must complete the form and provide the names and contact details of two referees who are willing to submit a reference for the candidate. The referees could be the candidate’s director of studies, professor, or internship coordinator.
  2. The two referees named by the candidate will receive an email containing a link to an online recommendation form. They must complete and submit the form before the scholarship call’s closing date. The candidate will be automatically informed when each referee submits the form.
  3. The scholarship application will be considered complete once both recommendation forms are submitted. The candidate will not receive a confirmation message indicating that the application is complete. It is the candidate’s responsibility to ensure that both referees complete and submit the form before the deadline stated in the invitation email.

Note that incomplete or late applications will be automatically rejected.
