Google Student Researcher BS MS Winter Summer 2025
Google’s Student Researcher Program 2025 is now open for applications. Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis, and it’s in your best interest to apply early.
The application window is expected to remain open until July 11, 2025, but may close sooner if all project slots are filled. Applications submitted after the deadline or once roles are full will not be considered.
Location Requirement
Participants must be physically located in the United States for the entire duration of the program.

What Is the Student Researcher Program?
The Student Researcher Program connects students with teams across Google – including Google Research, Google DeepMind, and Google Cloud – to work on cutting-edge research projects. These roles focus on scientific advancement, innovation, and hands-on problem solving.
Projects vary in duration, time commitment, and remote/onsite setup, based on the project and host team needs. Start dates typically fall between January and August.
Note: This program is not conversion-eligible and is intended for students not seeking full-time employment immediately after the internship.
Minimum Qualifications
Enrolled in a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree program in a related technical field.
Experience in at least one area of computer science, such as:
Natural Language Processing (NLP)
Human-Computer Interaction (HCI)
Machine Learning or Deep Learning
Data Science
Computer Vision
Software Engineering
Algorithmic Optimization
Quantum Information Science
Preferred Qualifications
Enrolled full-time and planning to return to your academic program after the internship.
Currently studying at a U.S.-based institution.
Previous experience in a research role (internships, labs, or full-time).
Contributions to research communities (e.g., published papers in journals or conferences).
Proficiency in general-purpose programming languages like Python, Java, C++, JavaScript, etc.
What You’ll Do
Collaborate with Google researchers and engineers on innovative and impactful research.
Contribute to projects that advance the state of the art in computing and support real-world applications.

Compensation
The U.S. base salary range for this full-time internship position is $95,000 – $126,000, depending on:
