Honjo International Scholarship Foundation, pleased to announce the commencement of scholarship offering to foreign students who study or plan to study in Japan as a graduate school for doctoral or master’s degree.
Applications accepted from abroad as long as an applicant accepted to a Japanese graduate school. Applicants may directly apply to the foundation without pre-selection by the a Japanese university.

Eligibility Criteria:
For the Honjo International Scholarship for Foreign Students, applicants must meet the following criteria:
- Applicants identified as a foreign study seeking to study in Japan.
- Applicants must have obtained relevant bachelor’s degree from a recognized institution of higher learning.
- Applicants must demonstrate excellent academic and research abilities.
Application Procedure:
Interested applicants for the Honjo International Scholarship for Foreign students are to ensure that they meet the eligibility criteria and there after proceed to complete their application on the online application system.
Fill out the application form and upload the required documents. Once the documents submitted, the application number will be issued, and PDF of your application form will be created. Please save the PDF file as you will need it when the result is announced.
